CITY QUILTS: 12 Dramatic Projects Inspired by Urban Views

Quilter's Academy Vol. 3 Junior Year: A Skill-Building Course in Quilt-making [Paperback]Harriet Hargrave (Author), Carrie Hargrave (Author)

Originally in this podcast I planned a QUILT DIARY, instead I plan to podcast after any sewing session of four hours or longer OR upon completion of a project. I am finding it difficult to podcast on a regular basis. I also feel I should not podcast unless I have done some sewing and my quilting time is limited. I hate being redundant or not having any project in progress. I think that leads to a boring podcast.

I sometimes feel I am talking to myself, because I rarely get comments. I really enjoy conversation with other quilters and had hoped to get more comments. Those comments always give me ideas for more blogging and podcast. So if you listen to the podcast please drop in and say HELLO and tell me what you are thinking and doing with your projects. THANK YOU, I think I am done WHINING .

More pictures of the ongoing charity quilting will be posted as I complete the projects on my WORD PRESS BLOG. I also hope to take pictures of the projects made by the other ladies in the group.

    Hi Nonnie

I have listened to all of your podcasts (except this one - it’s downloaded, though). I enjoy your sense of humour!

For me anyway, I don’t care if you have had major quilting accomplishments to report on. I always enjoy hearing about people’s lives, book reviews, tool reviews, etc. You say you’re not going to podcast unless you’ve completed a 4 hour sewing session. I hope you don’t mean 4 hours all in one sitting - with your busy life, I expect that’s pretty rare.

Thanks for your podcast, and for your comments on other people’s blogs and in here - they are very informative.

    Hi Nonnie,

Thanks for the podcast. I agree with you about over-stash building when you are starting out, or maybe anytime. When I first started I bought lots of half yard cuts. I still love them all, but am finding that a half yard often isn’t enough for the patterns that interest me. I prefer to make bed size quilts. I’m sure I’ll eventually use my half yard cuts, but it is a bit of a challenge. Maybe that’s a good thing.
